Ghatge Patil Automobiles Pvt. Ltd. (GPAPL) is a name synonymous with reliability and trust in the automotive industry, with a legacy spanning over eight decades. Our journey began in 1939 when our founder, Mr. J. B. Patil, embarked on an entrepreneurial venture with just a few used trucks, laying the groundwork for what would become a powerful force in the transport sector.
In 1945, Mr. V. M. Ghatge joined as a partner, marking the official inception of the Ghatge Patil Group. This partnership was a pivotal moment, providing the foundation for our steady growth, legacy, and expansion into a diversified business.
The company was officially incorporated as a private limited company in 1981 under the name Ghatge Patil Automobiles. This strategic move was made to streamline operations and further expand our business endeavours. In 2018, we were renamed Ghatge Patil Automobiles Private Limited, reflecting our sustained growth and strategic direction.
